| Hello, New to Studio One, so I'm probably missing something. My Behringer xenyx 302 usb device works with other software. With Studio One 3 I can select the codec for output, but nothing I have tried gets Studio One to access the Microphone coming off the Behringer. I've seen references to using ASIO4ALL, but it looks like that is for Windows. Is there a simple solution, or is the Behringer just not compatible with Studio One on a Mac (as I said I am able to get other programs to access the Microphone). Thanks for any advice! -Jim |
| Hey Zeniaqbit Checked a littlebit online about it, trying to confirm my suspitions so to speak And I don't have a Mac here. On an OSx, any external audio device would be set up in your Core Audio to make it work The ASIO4ALL shouldn't be needed for you at all Ch33rs Saga Studio One v2.x 3.x 4.x- - Firestudio Modile - M-Audio BX8 D2 Monitors A few VST's and VST-I's Korg Krome and a few yamaha's Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit sp1 on MB: Asus F1a75-V Pro with AMD Athlon II x4 651 (3.0Ghz) and 8gigs RAM Graphic: Radeon HD5770 To add your software and hardware specs to your signature to make it easier for us to help you, click HERE. |

| Thanks timmorris and saga. The mac does seem to hear the microphone (system preferences, sound), but not Studio One. Caustic successfully connects with the mic. I temporarily used a friend's audio interface (M-Audio Mobile Pre-USB) and Studio One was able to use that with no problem. I've attached screenshots - I hope that's what's meant by 'current setup'. Thanks for any suggestions. -Jim |
| Hi, sorry Im going to have to look into this one, just so we are clear.you are using the Behringer as your interface.but S1 is not seeing it as such ? | Yes, I am using Behringer as the audio interface. Studio One does see the device, and I can select it. When I do, the output from Studio One does go to the audio interface, but Studio One does not see the microphone as input. Caustic and Garageband both can access the Behringer mic input, but Studio One does not. -Jim |

| No. All I have is Studio One 3 Artist, a midi keyboard and the Behringer audio interface. |
| So.if you open a new audio track in S1, what do you see as the input ? I dont think the Mac audio settings is where you need to be, you need to direct the S1 audio track to receive from the Behringer. | I did see that thread. The first guy solved the problem by installing ASIO4ALL, but he has a Windows machine, and Presonus says no driver is necessary for OSx. The second solution involved the free demo version of Studio One, and that doesn't seem to apply to my situation. Studio One is not seeing the input on the Behringer - if you see the screenshot I posted, the inputs are not 'lit up'. For whatever reason, Studio One is not activating the input. I've probably wasted too much of your time already on this. I've given up on the Behringer, and my USB M-Audio device works - I just plug it in, and it shows (and successfully accesses) a mono mic channel and two stereo channels. I do appreciate the help, so thank you. -Jim |

Alright, so, I'm a pretty hardcore newb. I just purchased a (lightly) used Behringer Xenyx x1832 usb in hopes of officially starting my journey in the world of home studio-recording. Unfortunately, I quickly found out that it wouldn't be quite as simple as I had hoped. After a couple laps around the tree of confusion, a trip to guitar center, a good read through of the manual, google, and a fair amount of forums, I found I was supposed to download the driver. I own a mac, by the way. Well, after 15 or so trips to the download section of behringer.com, I can't find a driver for mac for the life of me. Thus brings me here, somewhat of my last resort before looking into other usb interfaces (God forbid).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
